Two ladies had a dream to open their own Estate Agents office, having been employed by other people for many years, they came up with the idea of having their office on a narrow boat, they contacted us, we sat down and came up with a design that was workable, cost effective and a pleasant envirnoment to work in
The first challenge was to make easy access to the boat as easy as practically possible, this involved cutting out a section of the bow section making the boat level with the quayside, this section can be bolted back into place when needed.
The fit out consists of a galley and stockroom at the rear, this gives plenty of space for stationary and other office essential, also providing a place to make customers that all essential brew.
Leading on from this there is a private seating area where sales can be negotiated and finances discussed.
Forward of this there is the main office space which has fitted workstations, a reception desk and plenty of sockets for computers and photocopiers.
There is plenty of space to display properties for sale on the walls, the office has a light airey feel and is set in a beautiful marine location.
A lot of time was taken choosing the colours for the outside of the boat as there was already an established coporate theme which we needed to match, the colours match perfectly and the overall effect is of a unusual and stunning office environment.
